Access and Widening Participation
Welcome to Atlantic Technological University Access and Widening Participation, supporting alternative routes to Higher Education. Our aim is to assist students from various backgrounds during their time at ATU to widen access and participation. Access and Widening Participation encourages underrepresented groups to consider Higher Education and provides these students with support through their time at ATU.
Access and Widening Participation provides support for people identified in the National Access Plan for Equity of Access to Higher Education 2022-2028 and we are committed to creating an inclusive, equitable learning experience for every student.
Schemes and Supports
- Access Pathways through HEAR admissions, Mature student entry, Further Education (FET) entry, Access Programmes and more.
- Financial Support by way of the Student Assistance Fund (SAF), Laptop loan Scheme, Scholarships, 1916 Bursary Fund
- Outreach and Inreach Educational Programmes, Events and Supports, engaging with local schools, community and advocacy groups aimed at attracting and retaining undergraduate students from target groups identified in the National Access Plan.
