Congratulations to all students graduating this Spring. Conferring ceremonies will be taking place from April 29th – May 1st 2025.

Conferring – Spring 2025

All Students who have completed a major award since our last Conferring in October/November 2024 will be invited to ceremonies in April/May to receive their Parchments. These include Level 6 Higher Certificate, Level 7 Ordinary Degree, Level 8 Honours Degree, Level 8 Higher Diploma, Level 9 Post Graduate Diplomas, level 9 Masters Degree (Taught and by Research) and Level 10 Doctorate Degree.

Ceremony Information

Ceremonies will take place in April & May in Donegal, Sligo and Galway. Those attending are asked to arrive 1 hour before the ceremony commences.

How to register for my ceremony?

Information will be sent to your ATU email address.

How many guests can I bring?

Each graduand may bring 2 guests.

How do I book a gown?

Those graduating must present in the correct academic gowns and hats for the Conferring. Please click here for the gowning company, Armstrong and Oxford

Will there be photographers present on the day?

Yes, Atlantic Technological University have engaged Lafayette Photography for graduation photography. For students who wish to avail of their service, it is recommended but not essential to pre-book your photography online through the “Graduation Photography” section.

How long is the conferring ceremony?

Approximately 2 hours.

Will refreshments be provided on the day?

Yes, light refreshments will be provided.

I have requested my parchment to be posted, how long does this take?

The Examinations Office will process all requests for parchments to be processed in the weeks following the graduation ceremonies.

Minor Awards and Special Purpose Awards (SPAs)

All students who have completed a major award will be invited to a ceremony receive their parchments. These include:

Level 6 Higher Certificate
Level 7 Ordinary Degree
Level 8 Honours Degree
Level 8 Higher Diploma
Level 9 Post Graduate Diplomas
Level 9 Masters Degree (Taught and by Research)
Level 10 Doctorate Degree

Students who completed an award other than the ones listed above e.g. special purpose award, certificate or single module certificate will receive eParchments only and not at an in-person ceremony.

The eParchment will be issued by end of March or end of July depending on when you completed the award. You will receive an email notification.
