I have chosen the theme of Universal Design for Learning for my role as student champion. I always struggled with academia throughout secondary school. I had attempted college a few times, but it never quite worked out for me.

Through ATU Donegal's disability support service the Curve, I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia in my mid-twenties. Equipped with this knowledge, I started to research and apply different techniques of learning and I am now headed into my third year of my degree. I want to use UDL to empower other students who may be in the same boat and enable them to thrive during their time at college.
