UDL Digital Badge
AHEAD and UCD Access & Lifelong Learning will offer the Digital Badge for Universal Design in Teaching and Learning online. This course, by the National Forum, introduces the Universal Design for Learning Framework. It also lets participants apply UDL methods in their teaching. Many Irish higher education professionals, including hundreds from ATU, have joined in previous years. We’ll roll out sessions throughout the academic year. Stay tuned for updates and be part of the growing Irish UDL community.
Past participants shared their thoughts:
“The process was very helpful. I feel all lecturers should avail of this and change all their modules over [using] UDL principles. It benefits not only the students but the lecturers too.”
“Great experience and chance to discuss ideas with colleagues…[it] has made me reflect on not only the delivery but the whole student experience.”
“Students engaged more: they expressed themselves without fear and without a feeling that they could give the wrong answer. They felt included and, most importantly, they felt equal.”
