ALTITUDE Charter

The National Charter for Universal Design in Tertiary Education

The Altitude Charter is a vehicle for your institution to declare its intent to make incremental and sustainable progress towards embedding a universal design approach – embedded in this document.

Developed by UCD – University for ALL, the Unlocking Inclusion Toolkit is the practical support which accompanies the implementation of the ALTITUDE Charter provides key guidance, self-assessment tools and case study examples of good practice in action.

The Technical Report is outlining the context for the development of the Charter, the evidence base that underpins it, the alignment of the Charter with legislation and policy, and recommendations on its implementation.
Universal Design for Senior Leaders in Tertiary Education
This course targets the identified needs of senior leaders in tertiary education. It provides an opportunity to develop a fuller understanding of Universal Design (UD) inclusive of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The course facilitates you to explore your role and responsibilities in embedding a whole systems approach to UD implementation through strategy, policy, practice and governance.
