N-TUTORR Curriculum Framework Digital Toolkit
The Curriculum Framework is a practical resource, designed by partners across the TU sector in collaboration with subject experts to support all staff to engage with the N-TUTORR themes of Sustainability, Academic Integrity, EDI, UDL, Employability and Digital Transformation. The framework considers themes through three distinct categories.
• Rationale – The theory behind the specific theme. What is it and why is it important to a substantive and meaningful learning experience.
• Implementation – How can this theme practically manifest in the learning environment as well as assessment design
• Supports – What are the key resources to consider in relation to this theme.
For more on the Curriculum Framework, how it was developed and how it can support you in creating/ evaluating modules/ programmes, please see the Sway.
Masterclasses
To support staff and students in their understanding of the N-TUTORR themes, the project partners have collaborated with subject mater experts to create a series of masterclass sessions.
Masterclass recordings are available on our LinkedIn Learning platform and can be accessed here.

Improving Staff Development
As part of the N-TUTORR project within ATU, we carried out a number of measures to improve staff development. A training needs analysis was sent to all staff as the first part of a consultation to gauge the current status of SD within the university and identify and key trends or significant barriers that are stopping staff accessing or completing training.
Tied with these results we opened a Training Fund call to Senior Management, this was to enable them to design, deliver or improve any staff development project they had, 23 applications were successful covering all locations of the university and all of the N-TUTORR themes. These range from equipping academic staff with the latest industry standards to creating a university wide training programme in trauma informed practice.
The roll out of this included consultation with the IR forums and other management groups. The responses from this has lead to key priorities for 2024 including the development of the ATU Training and Support Hub, outlined above, that will unify all of our training programmes delivered across the university, further qualitative consultation groups with staff around the creation of training plans and the further consolidation and collaboration between all of ATU Staff Development functions.
