Student Entrepreneurship

ATU students are encouraged to pursue opportunities to establish and participate in entrepreneurial ventures, whether commercial or social. In addition to many courses run across most ATU campuses designed to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial skills, a number of opportunities are provided to enter competitions and participate in extra-curricular activities in this area. 

We encourage and support our students to enter the national Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreneur Awards.   

The HEA also provides support for such initiatives, one of which ATU has collaborated on with MTU, namely the Student Inc programme. 

We are also part of the EU GREEN University Alliance at European level. One of the pillars of this alliance is Innovation and Entrepreneurship, providing opportunities for staff and students to pursue entrepreneurship through this European network.
