Course Overview
Action Learning is a dynamic problem-solving method that amplifies learning across individual, organizational, and industry levels. This method is especially effective for complex, ‘wicked’ problems that are characteristic of today’s business landscape – challenges that require innovative, collaborative solutions.
This programme will provide participants with an overview of Action Learning (AL). The key concepts and principles of AL will be covered and participants will learn the value of AL to support leadership development, reflective practice and collaborative learning.

Foundation in Action Learning in OrganisationsThis module provides learners with an introductory knowledge of action learning and its application to tackling wicked problems in organisations. It examines theories and concepts of action learning drawing on the seminal works of Pedler, Abbott, and Revans. Through a combination of readings, discussions, case studies, and experiential exercises, learners will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to use an action learning approach to tackle problems/challenges in organisations. Entry Requirements
5 O6/H7 in the Leaving Certificate, and either Irish or English (O6/H7), OR QQIFET Level 5, OR equivalent qualification.
Candidates who do not meet the above entry requirements may be admitted to the programme on the grounds of mature years (over 23 by 1st January in the proposed year of entry).
