This module provides students, existing managers and those considering a career in managing people with detailed knowledge of the key issues in the efficient management of people in an organisation. This module explores the key practices and principles of mentoring and the role played by recruitment, performance and reward management in the retention of employees in the organisation. The student will consider the dynamics of teams, learn how to motivate and empower staff and build effective workplace relationships. It will also provider learners with the skills and competencies required to act as a mentor.
