Course Overview
Our Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Performance Innovation is a 12 week online programme designed for sports professionals seeking to develop their knowledge and skills in delivering and managing innovation in sports performance.
In high-performance sport, the ability to identify performance challenges and solutions is critical to success. With significant leaps in science and technology over recent years, innovation is now key for effective sport performance practice for coaches, practitioners, engineers and managers.
This programme develops specialist knowledge and practice in sport performance innovation together with an ability to address the science of sports performance, technology and engineering for effective innovation management.
This programme adopts an inter-disciplinary approach and enables professional learners to develop knowledge and skills to manage and lead innovation, leverage multidisciplinary and multi-domain expertise, apply disruptive technologies to enhance performance, and develop and apply innovative solutions to key performance challenges

The programme will address the science of sports performance, technology and engineering, and effective innovation management. Entry Requirements
Level 8 in a Sport Performance related area, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants may also be eligible to apply on the grounds of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if they have attained appropriate experience and attainment thresholds deemed equivalent to a Level 8 award. This may include professional qualifications and experience of working in sport as a coach, trainer, practitioner, teacher, manager or leader.
