Courses in this department all have practical and theory components so no two days are the same. In addition to the accredited and paid work placements, students will get to visit food producers, businesses related to their course, take part in meal experiences, guest lecturers, student competitions and master classes.   

Our facilities include state of the art kitchens and a real-life training restaurant and bar, in addition to a Beverage and Science laboratory for those important wine tasting classes.

Welcome to the Department of Culinary Arts and Service Industries, a department which has graduated many of Ireland’s leading Chefs and Hospitality professionals.  Our graduates are also at the helm in many leading global firms.  We are a department which prides itself on leading out in sustainable hospitality and food production and we work with many local and artisan suppliers to assist in meeting our global targets for sustainable development.  We pride ourselves in attention to detail and a customised focused education for all our students.
