Law, Public Service, and Education
The Department of Law, Public Service and Education in ATU Donegal has a diverse yet complementary range of programmes.
At undergraduate level, we have a long history of law programmes which we have delivered for over 50 years. These are regularly reviewed and refined to reflect current legal practice and we now have an LLB together with a BA (Honours) in Corporate law or Law with Criminal Justice. We have more recently expanded our portfolio to include a BA (Honours) in Communications with English building on the fundamental skills of communication to include English as a major.
In addition, the department provides opportunities for professional development and progression through a range of master’s programmes, post graduate certificates and lifelong learning programmes in area such as Learning and Teaching, Governance and IT, HR and Employment Law, Research Practice and Development and Employability Skills.
The department is particularly proud of it’s range of access programmes which provide entry routes for many who would otherwise be excluded from higher education.
Integration of real-world experience and applied learning is a feature of all of our programmes to ensure that all of our learners are ready for the workplace and society.
