Nursing, Health Sciences & Disability Studies

The School of Nursing, Health Sciences and Disability Studies are an innovative and student centred community. Our mission as nurse educators is to enhance the quality of patient/service user care through our teaching; research activities and engagement with the community. Our graduates are highly regarded and thus extremely employable here in Ireland and across the globe. We are supported in our work by our practice colleagues who make an invaluable contribution to our nursing focused programmes.
We have over the past 5 years developed a disability focus both through the development of new educational programmes and through our research endeavours.
The quality of the work of our students has been recognised through various prizes/ scholarships. Our students have been recipients of the International Undergraduate awards; the Dr. H.H. Stewart Medical Scholarship and prizes in Nursing; Health and Safety Authority healthcare prizes; Asthma Society and Health Research Board Scholarships.
