Galway Wind Park (GWP) is a joint venture between project partners, SSE Renewables and Greencoat Renewables. Now fully operational, Galway Wind Park is Ireland’s largest onshore wind farm, producing enough renewable energy to power more than 140,000 Irish homes - or every home in Galway city and county.
The aim of the Galway Wind Park Community Fund is to maximise value and impact for local communities and people in the long-term. One of the most ways we can do this is through powering education and skills development.
The Galway Wind Park Scholarship Programme aims to maximise value for local communities by providing third-level educational opportunities for local people to gain qualifications and ultimately build strong careers.
