Atlantic Technological University and Georgian College sign collaborative agreement for joint higher education and research initiatives

This agreement recognises and strengthens the ongoing partnership between both institutions and their shared strategic interests in the areas of applied research; virtual, blended and physical mobilities; credit transfer pathways; and dual credential bachelor’s degrees. 

The President of the Atlantic Technological University, Dr Orla Flynn, and the President & CEO of Georgian College Kevin Weaver both warmly welcomed the signing of the MOU Addendum which took place at the Atlantic Technological University Sligo college campus on Wednesday, 1 March 2023.   

Georgian College President and CEO, Kevin Weaver and colleagues also met with a group of 25 Georgian College students and staff, participating in a two-week Sustainable Futures study abroad visit to the north-west region, part-funded under the Canadian Governments Global Skills Opportunity initiative and hosted by the ATU Global team.    

Speaking at the historic signing ceremony, Dr Orla Flynn, President of Atlantic Technological University said “This agreement builds upon existing relationships across a range of activities, putting in place a framework that will support the future strategic development of targeted collaborative initiatives which will benefit and support our many outstanding students, graduates, faculty, staff, and stakeholders.  We are excited about what we can achieve together.”
