Atlantic Technological University to host IGC National Conference this weekend
ATU will welcome over 300 Guidance Councillors from around the country to its Sligo Campus for the 2023 Institute of Guidance Counsellors Conference this weekend (10th & 11th March).
This year’s conference theme; “Reconnecting, Re-energising, Renewing,” will be the IGC’s first in person conference in two years.
The event is being sponsored by Atlantic Technological University, one of the largest multi-campus universities in Ireland.
The conference will feature an intriguing range of workshops where invaluable knowledge and expertise will be shared. The IGC Sligo/Longford branch have been busy working alongside ATU and the conference organiser to ensure the highest calibre of facilitators and an impressive range of workshops are available to meet the needs of IGC members.
Over 40 Higher Education Institutions and Further Education providers will also be in attendance at the annual conference. Speakers at the conference include President of ATU, Dr Orla Flynn and Tadhg Crowley, President of the IGC.
This year’s guest speaker is clinical psychologist, author and broadcaster, Dr David Coleman, a regular contributor on child development and education on TV, radio and in newspapers.
