ATU Lean Sigma White Belt ranked no. 1 globally

Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Lean Sigma White Belt course has been ranked as the number 1 Global Best University-level Lean Sigma White Belt course for 2024 by Class Central, a leading MOOC website. This achievement marks a significant rise of three places from the 2023 ranking, showcasing the course's growing reputation and excellence.

Class Central has highlighted the ATU MOOC as "the most comprehensive White Belt course" available, a testament to the quality and depth of the curriculum. The course is delivered by lecturers John Donovan and Brian Coll. Following the completion of the White Belt, many students proceed to enrol in the accredited ATU Sligo Yellow Belt course, which attracts over 400 students annually. The Yellow Belt course is expertly delivered by lecturers Caroline Mullan and Brian Coll.

ATU stands as Ireland’s largest online provider of accredited Quality degrees and Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence programs. Annually, over 2500 students enrol in the White, Yellow, Green, and Black Belt programmes.  

Class Central ranks the best online courses globally, evaluating offerings from 1200 universities, 1000 institutions, and 80 course providers.  

ATU Lecturer Brian Coll said, ” We are delighted to receive this recognition on the 10-year anniversary of launching the White Belt course.  Since then, the White Belt has been delivered to over 25,000 participants from 50 countries. We work with a large number of employers who enrol groups on the White Belt course as their first step on their Lean Six Sigma journey before progressing to the Yellow and Green Belt courses”.  

The university is now offering up-to 80% Funding available for eligible applicants for Yellow, Green and Black Belt Lean Sigma courses starting in September 2024.
