ATU Retains Global #1 Ranking for Lean Sigma White Belt Course in 2025

Atlantic Technological University (ATU) has once again secured its position as the top-ranked university-level Lean Sigma White Belt course worldwide, according to Class Central, a leading platform for ranking massive open online courses (MOOCs). The ATU Lean Sigma White Belt has been named the #1 course in Class Central’s prestigious ‘10 Best Lean Six Sigma Courses to Take in 2025’ ranking, retaining its status as the premier provider of Lean Six Sigma education. 

The White Belt course, which was enhanced in 2024 with new content and lectures through funding from Higher Education 4.0, has consistently led the field, maintaining its #1 ranking for two consecutive years.  

Class Central describes ATU’s White Belt as ‘the most comprehensive White Belt course’ available globally. The programme is delivered by lecturers John Donovan and Brian Coll, with a strong emphasis on practical applications and industry-relevant content.  

Many students who complete the White Belt course continue their studies by enrolling in the accredited Lean & Operational Excellence (OpEx) Yellow Belt programme, which is delivered by lecturers Caroline Mullan and Brian Coll. Each year, over 400 students progress from the White Belt to the Yellow Belt course. 

ATU is Ireland’s largest online provider of accredited degrees in Quality, Lean Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence. The White Belt programme alone attracts more than 2,500 students annually, while over 600 students enrol in ATU’s Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, and Black Belt courses.
