ATU unveiled the Yeats Academy of Arts, Design & Architecture 2024 Creative Showcase in newly refurbished North Campus buildings

Atlantic Technological University (ATU) unveiled the 2024 Creative Showcase presented by the Yeats Academy of Arts, Design & Architecture (YAADA). This year’s event marked a significant milestone as it was hosted for the first time in the newly refurbished Yeats Academy Buildings on ATU’s Sligo campus. 

ATU YAADA 2024 Creative Showcase celebrated the exceptional work of graduating students, showcasing their achievements in fine art, theatre design, performing arts, writing & literature, Interior architecture, creative design and more.  
The event was officially opened by President of ATU, Dr Orla Flynn, “The unveiling of the YAADA 2024 Creative Showcase in our newly refurbished buildings is a proud moment for ATU and reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing creative talent and providing our students with the best possible environment to develop their skills. The work on display is a testament to the high standards of excellence at our university.” 
Una Parsons, Head of College at ATU Sligo, added, “This showcase is a wonderful opportunity for our students to present their work to a broader audience. The dedication and passion demonstrated by our students and faculty are truly commendable.” 


Dr Emmet O’Doherty, Head of the Department of YAADA, shared his congratulations, stating, “I am immensely proud of our students and the incredible work they have produced for this year’s showcase. Their creativity and hard work are truly inspiring. This exhibition not only highlights their individual talents but also the collaborative spirit that defines our academy. We are excited to celebrate their achievements in our stunning new facilities.” 


The official opening of the YAADA 2024 Creative Showcase is a highlight of the academic year, drawing attention from the arts community, industry professionals, and the general public. For those unable to attend the official opening, the exhibition will remain open for a week, allowing ample opportunity for visitors to experience the diverse and innovative works on display. 


The celebrations will culminate with the Bachelor of Architecture Showcase, running from 13 to 17 June. This event will provide an in-depth look at the visionary projects of our architecture students, reflecting their rigorous training and forward-thinking designs.
