My name is Aonghus Callanan, I’m studying a Masters in Built Environment Regulation in ATU.

Studying at ATU has been a very positive experience. There are highly experienced lecturers delivering the modules. The technology the lectures are delivered on is quite easy and straight forward to use. The virtual online environment is flexible in terms of giving the participants flexibility and freedom to be able to pick up lectures when it’s convenient for them.

One of my favourite subjects at ATU has been the module in relation to sustainability. Ireland’s challenges in relation to carbon emissions are quite well flagged, so it’s important for professionala to stay ahead of the curve with the evolving environment and the regulation changes.

The two evenings a week can be a challenging for trying to balance work and family etc. So it’s about trying to organise your day and your week around the courses being delivered. Once you can do that, there is enough flexibility to manage it and I think it’s something that’s quite rewarding and well worth investing your time.
