My name is David Mangan and I’m studying is the Built Environment Regulation course in ATU.

Balancing work and study can be tough. But our lectures are recorded, so if you do miss a lecture, you go back to watch it at the weekend. Between the lecturers and students, my experience studying this course in ATU has been very good.

All the modules in this course have been very beneficial in my job. I work in housing in Cork County Council and Building Regulations are a big part of my job. You come across various different houses and apartments, and the fire regulations modules have helped me a lot in my role.

To anyone considering studying this course, my advice would be go for it. A 90% subsidised Level 9 course is definitely worth doing. At first it’s a bit daunting to look at it, but it’s manageable to do. I’m coming to the end of the two years now and the flexibility to the course was great. I definitely recommend it.
