Postgraduate Programmes in Digital Innovation for Sport
This Masters programme has been designed to address the digital innovation and digital transformation needs of the sports sector providing graduates with high-level ICT skills, particularly in AI and analytics. It is aimed at sports, technology and business graduates who wish to pursue a career in sport and professionals already working in the sport and SportsTech sectors.
Our suite of five Level 9 Certificates is designed to meet the professional development needs of the sports industry, offering short, part-time, online postgraduate courses which can be stacked towards a Masters qualification. These courses are aimed at sports professionals seeking the knowledge and skills to leverage the latest technology to gain better insights, deliver new revenue streams, create more efficient workflows and improve stakeholder experiences.
Master of Health Science in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy
This part-time programme aims to provide the necessary skills for Registered Mental Health Nurses (RPNs/RMNs) to become Clinical Nurse Specialists in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBP), supporting suitable clients with a wide range of mental health presentations. Student can choose to enter the course through the Master of Health Science (90 credit) level, or through our Postgraduate Diploma (60 credit) postgraduate pathway.

Postgraduate Programmes in Gerontology
This exciting multidisciplinary part-time programme emphasises healthy aging in older adults, and is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland for those registered nurses on relevant division (RGN, RNID, RNT, RPHN, RPN). The aim of this course is to develop postgraduates’ theoretical knowledge, professional values and skills to enable them to plan and implement evidence-based interventions and person-centred approaches for older people across a variety of health and social care contexts.
Students can choose to apply to our part-time Gerontology Nursing or Gerontology Practice, both of which are available to study at Masters or Postgraduate Diploma level. These part-time programmes are blended in terms of delivery meaning that they have both online and on-campus elements. On-campus attendance will be delivered at either our Letterkenny campus, Castlebar campus or St Angelas campus.

Postgraduate Programmes in Sustainable Tourism and Event Management
As a destination, Ireland is a world leader in terms of tourism and events. But in a changing world, we need to revisit and redefine how we deliver tourism and events, not just in Ireland, but globally. This online programme is designed to fit the needs of busy and aspiring leaders in tourism and event organisations. We will support those in public sector roles, or the private sector, be they individuals, organisations or destinations who are striving to be leaders in their sustainability journey. Together, we will learn about developing sustainable tourism and event experiences, minimise environmental impact, and create events that leave a positive impact.
Master of Science in Home Economics, Nutrition and Health Promotion
The Master of Science in Home Economics, Nutrition and Health Promotion is a fully online programme which is unique in Ireland, and internationally, in combining the potential to study and research at Level 9 (NFQ) in the areas of Home Economics, Nutrition and Health Promotion. The online course is delivered from the ATU St Angelas campus, which is recognised as the National Centre of Excellence in Home Economics in Ireland. Students can expect to learn from experts in the areas of Home Economics, Nutrition and Health Promotion
