Transition to University
We know making the transition to third-level education can be a big step but we’re here to help you on your journey.
CAO Offers
An important step to transition to university starts with the offer season. We appreciate it can be a stressful and frantic time for applicants and their families. We are here to assist you and provide you with all the information you need to make an informed decision on which offer to accept or what to do if you don’t get the offer you expect.
See the Offers page for more.
Registration
Our registration team will contact everyone who has accepted an offer to join us at ATU when our academic system is open for registration. You will receive all the information you need to get registered as an ATU student by email. Visit the registration page for more information on when to expect to receive that link and what you’ll need to register.
See the Registration page for more.
Induction
Our comprehensive induction and welcome programmes ensure the transition is both easy and fun. During induction, students receive their timetables, meet their classmates and lecturers, learn about supports and services, get their questions answered, go on a campus tour and lots more. ATU’s #First5Weeks welcome programme ensures students get the best start to their university journey.
See the Induction page for more.
Available Places
Available Places (also known as Vacant Places) are places on programmes that are unfilled after offers are issued. This is a great opportunity for applicants to start university in September, who are unhappy with their offer, didn’t get an offer, have changed circumstances, or simply have just changed their mind about what they would like to study since they first applied.
