Welcome to the Teaching and Learning Centre

The ATU Teaching and Learning Centre is led by Dr. Carina Ginty and Dr. Niamh Plunkett. It focuses on transformative education, sustainable learning futures, and advancing excellence in learning and teaching. The centre’s team collaborates with over 2,500 academic and professional services staff across ATU’s nine campuses in Galway, Mayo, Sligo, and Donegal.

The Teaching and Learning Centre aims to support university staff in developing their capabilities in teaching, learning, and assessment design. It guides the development of the curriculum, promotes excellence in teaching practices to enhance the student experience, and ensures robust academic standards.
