The Galway Science and Technology Festival will run from November 10th to 22nd and this year marks the 27th year of the event.
The festival brings together a wide variety of engaging Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) events, including hands-on workshops, science shows, and public talks designed to make science accessible to all ages.
ATU will attend the festival's launch event at the University of Galway on Sunday 10th of November. The launch event will be packed with interactive exhibits, STEM showcases, and family-friendly activities.
This year's event theme is "The Power of Regeneration," and focuses on exploring biological, technological, and environmental regeneration, aiming to inspire curiosity about how science can impact society and the environment.
Staff and students from ATU’s Galway City campus will provide an array of interactive displays at the festivals launch event. These displays will provide an insight into the educational offerings available at ATU and will also provide visitors to the ATU stands with an opportunity to spark their curiosity and immerse their interests in all things STEM available at ATU.
The launch event is a collaborative event, bringing together industry and educational providers showcasing the best that the west has to offer in the areas of Medtech, Technology and Engineering.
ATU’s Galway City campus, formerly GMIT, has been a founding member of the Galway Science and Technology Festival.
