The CCI program has been nominated for two Education Awards 2023 categories, namely the "Best Education Outreach Award" and "Best Industry/Business – Academic Collaboration." Notably, Kris also participated in the ESB Science Blast at the RDS Dublin, an educational program aimed at primary school students from ages 9 to 12, where researchers interacted with students, explaining their work and the significance of research.
The ICI Postgraduate Award is a prestigious accolade presented to a registered PhD student in any chemistry discipline within an Irish Higher Education Institution. Recipients must demonstrate excellence in research through publications and showcase a commitment to supporting and promoting chemistry within their respective institutions. Kris O'Dowd received this award on 29th June at the ICI Annual Meeting, taking place at UCD Dublin.
