Having returned from working in London, I decided to attend LYIT to complete a BSc in Digital Construction*. I felt this was an ideal course for me to update my previous qualifications as an Architectural Technician. I would highly recommend this course to others as it gives student numerous opportunities in the construction industry. The course covered various aspects from Passive House Design to Digital Surveying to Building Information Modelling (BIM) and much more. As part of the course at the end of the year we had to complete four weeks work experience. From this, I have now gained a part time job in an Architectural firm in Letterkenny. I know if it wasn’t for completing this course in LYIT, I would probably still be looking for work.
