With an increased emphasis on teaching computing in schools, there is increasing demand for teachers to introduce technology and coding as part of the curriculum. The study of programming and the development of programming competencies are central to learning computer science.

This 10-credit level 8 special purpose award will seek to prepare learners to deliver the Applied Learning Tasks on the Leaving Certificate Computer Science course.
