The aims of this module are to: Reinforce application of number skills. Students who have successfully completed, ordinary level maths or foundation GCSE Mathematics should find this familiar. To enhance learners' skills on application of number processes with ICT assistance To further learners' ability to handle all of forms of number precedence operations To promote learners' competence and confidence in mathematics

1. Carry out routine computational procedures to appropriate levels of accuracy
2. Demonstate appropriate mixed operational processes
3. Use excel/spreadsheet application to enhance understanding of mathematical operations
4. Apply routine mathematical knowledge and skills to solve practical problems in number based problems
5. Select appropriate strategies within application of number.

The aims of the module is to support the students in their career journey, both academic and vocational. This is facilitated digitally and in class. Students engage with an online portal and in-class practical work allowing them to find confidence in their future career choices. Students will also be equipped with knowledge of supports within the ATU to assist them in their academic career.

1. Identify the range of supports available to students in a college campus
2. Assess career path to date and create a career plan for the future
3. Identify areas of interest and strength to enable focussed career decisions
4. Research careers, employment opportunities and educational programmes associated with career choices
5. Plan how to finance third level studies
6. Create a CV

The aim of this module is to prepare students with a range of academic skills in preparation for entry into third level. Students will be introduced to a range of core skills needed to progress confidently in their academic career.

2. Organise an effective study plan directed towards their personal learning needs and goals.
3. Utilise revision and exam techniques in a way that enhances their academic potential and fulfilment.
4. Assess their skills for future study and set viable goals.

7. Effectively prepare and deliver a group presentation to their peers.
8. Access and utilise a Virtual Learning Environment.

This module will provide the learner with practical knowledge of computer applications that are used today in the business environment as well as providing a basic theoretical overview of the components of PC.

3. Navigate the Virtual Learning Environment, Email and the Internet
4. Demonstrate effective use of a word processing package to create and maintain office documents.
5. Prepare and deliver professional presentations using presentation software.
6. Design and manage a spreadsheet application to carry out basic spreadsheet functionality
