ATU Mayo Cancer Awareness Event

Pictured on a recent visit to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (26 Feb) are the third year general nursing students with their lecturer Aoife Petrie (centre left, grey jacket), Martina Keane, module leader (centre left, white cardigan), Dr Roisin Dwyer, Associate Professor in Translational Science, NBCRI, and NBCRI staff.

Join us for a Cancer Awareness event hosted by our General Nursing students at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Mayo.

As part of their degree studies module on Oncology, End of Life and Palliative Care, third-year nursing students will be hosting this public information session on Thursday 27 March, from 10am to 1pm on the Student Union corridor on the Castlebar campus.

Students will have dedicated stands where they will share valuable information on six different types of cancer and what to look out for.

This event is organised by the Department of Nursing, Health Science and Integrated Care in partnership with the Irish Cancer Society. It’s a great opportunity for the public to learn more about cancer prevention and early detection.

Location: Student Union corridor, Castlebar campus, ATU Mayo
Date & Time: Thursday 27 March from 10am to 1pm

We look forward to seeing you there!
