Opportunity to connect with industry at upcoming ATU Careers Fair in Donegal

Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Donegal, Letterkenny campus is hosting its annual Careers Fair on Monday, 21 October from 12pm to 3pm. This event presents a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with employers, explore postgraduate options, and receive valuable advice.

The Careers Fair is an essential event for anyone interested in discovering job opportunities across various industry sectors and exploring postgraduate study options available at ATU Donegal.

“It’s a wonderful chance to engage with potential employers, and I encourage not only ATU students but members from the public to attend” suggests Eileen Patton, Careers Officer at ATU Donegal.

Eileen further emphasises, “This event provides guidance on securing employment as many employers will be offering job opportunities and internships, as well as advice to anyone considering a career change.”

Attendees will have the chance to meet representatives from over 50 local and national organisations across sectors including IT, Finance, Business, Engineering, Construction, Science, Sports, Health, and Agriculture, as well as voluntary organisations. Notable companies participating this year include Abbott, HSE, FinTrU, TCS, PGIM, SITA, Westport Estate, specialist recruitment agencies, and many others. Smaller businesses seeking top-quality staff for permanent, temporary, and part-time roles will also be present.

Eileen notes the diverse mix of exhibitors: “This event offers attendees the opportunity to speak directly with potential employers across a wide range of career areas. Anyone looking for employment, considering a career change, or exploring further study should definitely come along. All are welcome.”

For those interested in postgraduate opportunities, representatives from various programs will be available to discuss the range of options offered by ATU Donegal. In addition to full-time study, many courses can now be completed on a part-time or distance learning basis.

Eileen concludes: “The Careers Fair provides an excellent platform for employers, students, and graduates to connect. We look forward to building on the success of previous events!”
