Visitors to the event can take a tour of facilities, meet staff and students from each faculty, and gather information on the wide range of undergraduate programmes available at ATU. ATU’s Student Ambassador team will lead guided campus tours that will help visitors explore ATU’s laboratories, lecture theatres, student support centre and student recreational areas.
During the event, there will be a series of detailed programme talks taking place across the day, with attendees getting a chance to engage with current students and academic staff to ask questions and gain insights into the programmes available at ATU.
There will be workshops and demonstrations taking place across the campus, ATU offers programmes with practical learning opportunities, and these demonstrations provide an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about their area of study at ATU.
ATU’s Careers Officer will be available to provide career advice and information on educational pathways.
Arranmore student Mia Baikie (pictured) always wanted to care for people and her decision to study at ATU was decided after a visit to ATU Open Day in 2022, where she toured the facilities and met with nursing lecturers at ATU. Mia, a past pupil of Gairmscoil Mhic Diarmada, now a third year student studying the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in General Nursing at ATU said, “Open Day at ATU really opened my eyes to the opportunities available. I’d encourage anyone thinking about their next steps to come along, take a tour, and see what ATU has to offer first-hand.”
